This is a no-brainer type of club. No dues, no excess surcharges, no baggage fees, etc. You get the picture (movie)!! If you don't see the movie, so what. It doesn't matter. I told you it would be a great club. See you at the movies. Lynne.

A Little Romance
Hi Moviemainers,
For the month of February Pearl asked if we could do a film from 1979 A Little Romance. The film stars Diane Lane in her first film and Lawrence Olivier in one of his last films. It is a light romantic comedy, telling the story of two 13 year olds in Paris who fall in love and along the journey meet with a kind elderly gentleman. Remember if you have trouble finding this go to your library and ask if the librarian could please get the film for you through the library database (there are several copies of this movie in the Maine library system). They are often able to locate older films that you may not be able to get through Netflix. I have learned that netflix cannot get everything you want. Several times I was very disappointed that they did not have what I was looking for.
Let me know if you enjoyed the film. Cheer up spring will be here and I will look forward to seeing everyone.

I, Tonya
Hello Moviemainers,
I know I am a little late for announcing the film but time sure flies when you are having fun (a joke). The film for the month of January is I, Tonya About Tonya Harding and the 1994 Olympic ice skating tournament. The film is considered a biographic black comedy . Allison Janney won Best Supporting Actress at the 2018 Academy awards.
I thought it would be fun to do a little film trivia along with the announcing of the film. Here goes for anyone that would like to play along. Email me if you know the answer, I am aware that there are some people in the group that will just look it up on line, quickly so I will try to make this hard to find the answer as we are not having any movie club dinners or movie time. I will try to think up a really great prize for all those people who are all about winning. Here goes, What sci-fi film marked both Drew Barrymore and William Hurt's film debuts?
I look forward to hearing from someone out there???????????? It is bad enough that we can not get together but a little communication would be great.
