Next is Secretariat winner of the Triple Crown in 1973, it stares Diane Lane ( just love her ). A Colorado housewife agrees to help her father save the horse farm that has been mishandled. Now some people feel this is a better film then Seabiscuit you decide . Several horses that were used in the making of the film among them was a horse called Trolley Boy the great great grandson of the real Secretariat . We will host the club at our home on Saturday May 31 at 5:p.m. we will do a light supper of small bites while we watch the film Secretariat. RSVP Movielynne

club members did I hear someone mention they are going to the Kentucky Derby ? oops no that was my son Ben last year whose friend help snag him a ticket. Ben felt it was a bit overrated. ( Best to watch it at my house ). If you are available May 31 to watch Secretariat at our house I would love it. Movielynne

In the spirit of this month's theme, my food item for the dinner on 5/31 will be a pasta salad with ground horse meat. Just kidding! Well, I am bringing a pasta salad.....but without horse meat.
We watched Seabiscuit last week and it's even better than I remembered it being. I just love the trainer's answer "You don't throw away a whole life just because it's banged up a little".
Sorry I missed the dinner last night. I heard it was great. Secretariat was a great film and what a horse. What he did at the Belmont is legendary!Can't wait to see Jersey Boys!!!
Thank you Lynne for such a fun evening at your house. It's always so cozy in your "TV" room! Loved the movie shown (Secretariat)and the guests. Jim and I went to Claiborne Farm (on one of our jaunts) where Secretariat is buried. What a place! Those horsies have it good!
