The film for the month of October is 1994 Ed Wood Starring Johnny Depp and Martin Landau. The film is produced and directed by Tim Burton. The film is considered a comedy - drama biography of the B rated director Ed Wood. The film takes place in 1952 Wood is a closeted transvestite who dreams of becoming a great director . The film was considered a failure and as it cost 18 million to make and that it only grossed 5.9 million. It is now considered a cult classic and it did end up winning two academy awards one for Martin Landau for best supporting actor and one for best makeup.
